In 2025, CSAP Society’s five “at-large” Board positions are up for election.
The election will be conducted electronically from May 26, 2025, to June 1, 2025, with the successful candidates announced at the AGM on June 12, 2025.
The candidates are as follows:
Michael Gill, P.Eng.
I have been an environmental consultant for over 22 years, and a CSAP for the past 11 years. During that time I’ve been on the CSAP board, helped create the CSAP numerical exams, participated on the governance, membership and the technical review committees, reviewed the experience summary of applicants, and been a performance assessment panel member.
The CSAP Society improves the lives of British Columbians, and my intent is to continue the improvement of BC’s environment by serving as a board member.
Zayed Mohamad, P.Ag.
I have been an environmental consultant since 2008 and a member of the Society since 2017. My consulting work has focused extensively on the BC regulatory framework, with particular emphasis on obtaining approvals through ENV and CSAP. I have contributed through roles on the Technical Review Committee, PA panels, as a detailed screener, and preparing the exam. I believe the CSAP Society plays a vital role in supporting an efficient and effective regulatory system, and I look forward to helping maintain and build its relevance. If elected, I would work to strengthen communication and collaboration with ENV on technical matters and policy development. I would also support efforts to clarify and align technical and regulatory expectations among members, practitioners, and ENV, with the goal of promoting greater consistency in our work and improved predictability for our clients.
Mandeep Purewal, R.P.Bio. & P.Ag.
I have had the privilege of being a CSAP member since 2017. During my membership, I have served on the Technical Review Committee, Membership Committee, PA Panel, and the Exam Development Sub-Committee, where I have been appointed and serve as Chair.
I have had the honour of serving on the Board for the past two years, during which time I have worked on simplifying CPD Membership Requirements for our members.
I am seeking re-election to the Board and, if elected, look forward to continuing my collaboration with members to support reasonable approaches and sound professional judgment for our community.
Erin Robson, P.Eng.
I am honoured to be a candidate for the Member-at-Large position on the CSAP Board of Directors. Having served two terms on the CSAP PD Committee, I had the privilege of working alongside other talented CSAP members to plan and execute the spring and fall workshops and training sessions. As Technical Director of Contaminant Hydrogeology at SLR with 25 years as an environmental consultant in BC, and over 6 years with CSAP, my focus is squarely on the pursuit of technical excellence in environmental site investigation and remediation. I look forward to bringing that passion to this position.
Tara Siemens Kennedy, P.Chem.
I am running for a Member at Large position on the CSAP Board of Directors. I am currently serving on the BOD in the role of Vice President and Treasurer, and hope to be elected again so that I can continue to contribute to the Society, with an interest in ensuring effective and timely communication of technical and regulatory information to the AP community, as well as fairness and consistency. I am the Detailed Screening Coordinator and a member of the Performance Assessment Committee, former Chair of the Discipline Committee (2017 to 2019) and have participated in various other CSAP projects (e.g., TRC) since 2011.
