Elections
In 2026, CSAP Society’s parent organization Board positions are up for election.
The election will be conducted electronically from May 19, 2026, to May 25, 2026, with the successful candidates announced at the AGM on June 3, 2026.
The candidates are as follows:
BCIA:
Travis Deeter, P.Ag.
Thank you for considering me for the position of Director representing the BC Institute of Agrologists. I have learned so much during the past two years that I have served in this role, as well as in my capacity as the Co-Chair of the Technical Review Committee, and am excited to continue working on the various projects and initiatives of the Board and TRC, should I be elected. I would also like to see greater collaboration between CSAP and the BCIA on subjects that are relevant to both associations and am excited to explore those opportunities further.
CAB:
Beth Power, R.P. Bio.
As an Approved Professional (Risk) since 2005, I have contributed to CSAP governance through Board service (2016–2018; 2024–2026) and committees including Technical Review, Governance, and Discipline. I am seeking nomination again for three reasons: to help ensure representation from the College of Applied Biologists; to transfer knowledge and experience to the next generation of APs during a period of market uncertainty; and to continue supporting thoughtful, effective governance of our Society—work I find both meaningful and rewarding.
EGBC:
Jason Christensen, P.Eng.
I would be honoured for you to consider me as the EGBC representative. I have 25 years experience as an environmental engineer and 10 years as an Approved Professional. I currently act on the board of directors for CSAP as the Secretary and Treasurer, Chair the Performance Assessment Committee and participate on the exam development team at CSAP. I believe strongly in the CSAP process and would like to foster growing CSAP’s role in the regulatory process. I am interested in continuing to contribute to the society and working with board members, BC ENV and other stakeholders.
Vijay Kallur, P.Eng.
Vijay Kallur, is a senior professional with graduate degree in geotechnical/environmental engineering, 31 years experience in BC and since the EMA and CSR came into effect, 21 years as CSAP working collaboratively with ENV on medium and high-risk sites and awards of excellence for PFAS remediation planning and Fellowship to Engineers Canada. Mr. Kallur brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in multiple sectors including large infrastructure projects and would like to leverage 25 years of volunteering at EGBC including 9 years in Audit and Practice Review Committee to assist CSAP Society in fulfilling its mandate towards Professional Governance Act.
David Kettlewell, P.Geo.
I am pleased to submit my name for the EGBC Board position. I am confident I can make a meaningful contribution based on my past leadership, experience and enthusiasm. I have worked in our industry for over 30 years, have been a CSAP member since 2011, and served on the TRC for the past two years. I spent nine years on the BCEIA Board, including two years as President. I bring a strong ability to resolve complex issues with practical, achievable solutions while balancing diverse perspectives. I enjoy collaboration and can offer seasoned insight into CSAP’s future decisions and challenges.
